I decided to use an old Personna from the dollar store today, in my Aristocrat, with Williams. I beat that soap till the mug rang like I was calling people to dinner, and it still didn't do much in the way of lather porn. However, it coated really well, and even with the crappy blade, I got an okay shave. I don't chase the baby much, so just a good shave is good enough. I didn't put on any aftershave or alum, so no clue if it was bad, but after three weeks with an Astra SP, it's still not as good as that. (Yes, 6+ shaves on an astra still shaved better than the brand new Personna).
I don't think I posted this one here. It's an awesome williams shave. Going to post the video too. To many folks don't understand there is no magic to Williams. No hoodoo or voodoo. Started with a damp boar and dry cake of modern stuff. Love my Semogue 1305 too.
I’ve been getting some pretty respectable lathers from it. I hit a dry puck with a wet brush, lather on my face hit the puck again for a few swirls with a re-dampened brush, go back to my face, lather and then smooth it out. The whole thing takes a minute or less.

Brought out my Williams shave stick for Williams Wednesday. Great way to use the Williams! This is a homemade stick and a lot of fun to use! I posted the video a few places but here it is again. This was also my Signature shave for the SE and Injector party 1000th page celebration.
