No. I've forgotten more about drinking than most will ever know. I retired in May 2003. But back in the day, Tecate in bottles, Shiner and Negra Modelo wasted many a Houston afternoon.
Drinking causes the forgetting, yes. So, you can't be the Most Interesting Man. Sorry. (Don't feel bad. I can't drink. Alcohol allergy)
Scots don't tend to do the sing and dance when drunk. Fights, yes - but it involves the whole family. The Irish sing, dance and go fight anything... often at the same time. Only an Irishman thinks neutral is fight everybody
Rednecks can be like that in a bar fight. It would be rude to leave anyone out! Stay thirsty and in the ER my friend.
This is a great thread! I really like Williams, but here in Denver it takes a bit of time and attention to get to work. If the puck hasn't been used (or used in a while) and is dry, I will bloom it overnight. If the puck still has moisture in it, I will bloom it during my shower. I pour a bit of the bloom water into my lather bowl and toss the rest. I then squeeze the water out of my brush and give it a few good shakes, then load it like I hate it for at least 30 seconds. In the bowl I start building the lather, making several water additions several drops at a time. I also try to use more water than I think it needs. It takes a few minutes more than most other soaps, but when done right it results in a yogurt-like, slick, protective lather. It isn't too hard to get it right, but I do blow it sometimes. When I do, I am left with a very slick but disappearing lather. I am going to be rocking The Fat for a while, but (if I remember) I will pull out my current puck of Williams and the AV Ice Blue next Wednesday.
I grew up watching my granddad and my dad shave daily with Williams. When my shaving career came around, Williams was good enough for me. Now I have an extremely large collection of products in my den and yet routinely use Williams. I cannot even think about not having it!!!! Seems like anything polarizing in wet shaving are normal daily drivers for me.
We will be looking forward to that! Shaving life with out Williams is just wrong. Good to see you in the thread.
1. 5190 feet above sea level 2. UVA and UVB are above 9 290+ days per year 3. 17 inches of rain and 60 inches snow (equivalent to 6 inches rain) means semi-arid. Average humidity is less than 20%, altitude plays a large role. 4. Temp extremes. I've seen 71f and -9f in a 36 hour span. It's hard on everything. 5. Hail and lightning that rivals Florida and Hawaii. 6. No large rivers. We are the origin, no rivers or aquifers flow in to Colorado, all moisture is from the sky. 7. The sheer amount of empty space around me is mind blowing compared to the well-developed East US. 8. Hardest water in the nation, granite filtered through miles of rock. 9. BBQ doesn't work here, even when southerners do it. It's so dry that the wood won't burn cold enough to get the precise replica of the pork shoulders I enjoy in AL and TN and the brisket in central TX.
I enjoy living in Colorado. I like it better than the Midwest where I grew up. I live in Boulder County.
