I'm down to two passes myself. WTG and either XTG or ATG. Just two and done for me. Since I shave every day that is sufficient.

I try and do 2 but it always seems to be 2.5. WTG whole face, XTG neck, ATG whole face. The neck isn't smooth after 2 passes. Too much wild pattern growth.
Generally on weekdays I am one pass WTG and then touch-up. I'm just shooting for good CCS on those days. I'll take more time when I can and go WTG then XTG with touch-up. I have a few three pass shaves but have only shaved ATG once. My face tingled for about four hours after that shave. So ATG isn't for me.
2 passes typically - from top down then from bottom up. Occasionally I'll have a 3rd touch up and that generally is just spot shaving.

Since this is about method shaving…does anyone know if the hydralast method shaving products are still sold anywhere? I looked on the hydralast site, but it won't let you buy from it now.
For most of the week, I just do a two pass: Superior to Inferior, first pass Lateral to Medial, second pass Then I'll touch up any spots as needed. But often those two passes are CCS/DFS or work day shave and I stop there. Weekends I'll sometimes add a third pass. Usually a repeat of the Lateral to Medial pass. I rarely go Inferior to Superior, except under my chin which seems to require attack from four sides to get smooth.
