I came across a WWI Gillette Open Combed Kakhi Set that appeared to be in perfect shape. Cleaned it up nice and it shaves as well as one can expect. However, there is a hairline crack on top of handle (pretty superficial but it does make for a little bit of a loose fit) I posted this because I thought if anyone had one from this vintage (or close) I would be a good customer ;) I contacted Gillette about their inferior product. I guess the fact that the razor is pushing 100 years old pushes it just out of it's product warranty

    A common crack.
I would contact Gillette and ask to speak to whomever was on duty the shift in which that razor was made and responsible for the poor quality control.
Of course, that person may be nearly 140 years old now, so be patient…

Did you really contact Gillette about a razor that is nearing a century old?

I've had one with cracked handle. I just pulled the top piece out, cleaned it off, applied some JB Weld, and pushed it pack together. Works great.
