Just had to share. I had a couple of Slims and I sent them to @Delta Echo Razors. I just got these back from Jay. Needless to say I am thrilled. He does amazing work. The one on the right is an homage to the Blue Angels. The one on the left is an homage to the P-3C Orion. I crewed on the P-3 back in the '80s as an enlisted sailor. I forgot to ask him to coat the TTO crimp on the P-3 in red (reminiscent of the prop disc warning on the plane), but I can do that with some Tester's enamel.
Awesome! I was in VP1 from '95-'00. Structural mechanic. Changed many a aileron packs and paint jobs.
...and the reason I will eventually send one of mine to them. They do beautiful work! +1 to a Delta Echo Group. Gather all those photos for concentrated Enabling goodness.
I was an IFT in VP-50 at Moffett from '79-'86. We were always pretty jealous of you Airedales in Hawaii. But, I had a few excellent torpedo exercises off of Kauai that ended with a case of beer on the beach at Barbers Point.
I was in the squadron after their move to Oak Harbor Washington. I only got to hear stories about Barbers, but we made our own good stories from deployments to Diego and Japan.
Beautiful Slims! Jay does amazing work, and he's a gentleman. Here's my Gillette New LC before and after the trip to Delta Echo.
