I picked up a NOS canvas bag somewhere in Alabama along I-10 west of Mobile. It was the last brass zippered bag the Surplus dealer had on his shelf. Plenty big for carrying several soaps, aftershaves, & brushes. Snap pockets on the outside hold tucks of blades. Inside sewed in loops hold DE & Injector razors securely.

I have used one of these for several years. It's been all over the country with me and works great.



They come in different sizes, depending on the amount of gear your carry. I have the medium size.

You did bring some newer blades, though, right?

 

I have one that is similar (I think) to the one @wristwatchb uses. It looks bigger in the pic than it really is, 8.5x8.5x5". It holds a respectable den, and my other toiletries. I bought it on Amazon. I dont think it was more than about $15. It isn't built super well, but it has done a lot of week's worth of traveling in the last year and a half and is still good as new.

Hi all, I don't travel much, but I do have intermittent stays in the local VAMC. I am never comfortable there for long, so I have tried to fully stock my Dopp kit with a few creature comforts from home, so I can at least get some comfort from a traditional wet shave while there. Here's some photo's-







Okay, the spec. s are around 13 "longx10"highx4"wide. It is an olive drab sort of color on the exterior, black on interior. You can see from the photos I can fit an amazing amount of stuff inside. -
8 aftershave sample bottles.
4WSP 1oz sample tins.
8 tucks of blades.
A blade safe.
Under arm deodorant (full size).
Soap box (full size).
2 trial size shampoo.
3 razors.
1 Arko stick.
1 travel shave brush.
2 pouch tissues.
1 box of 100 q-tips.

These Dopp kits are called "Penguin" , and were available on my Walmart app 3 months ago. Also on eBay. I have had mine for 2 years now and no problems. It's very sturdy. Thanks for your interest, and have a great day!

That looks much like my vintage kit. Leather exterior, yellow plastic inner? I over stuffed it and tore the zipper loose.

LL Bean? I got one as a present couple years back. Monogrammed initials on the front flap in black over red exterior. It holds all my other-than-shaving gear for travel. Might be the medium sized because I see the outer zippered pockets.

I use a Bosca Utilikit and am very happy with the quality.

 

I have an actual "Dopp kit" brand Dopp kit. The original that started it all. If you look at the tab, you can see the brand name.

I haven't traveled recently, so I just have bare minimums in there: LA shaving synthetic travel brush, LA shaving black fern soap stick, PAA and Delta echo razors collaboration razor.
