Ya just speculation but it might be an allergy to something in one of the products he's using. Could try an all natural shave soap and brush if he's using the canned stuff..see what happens...

Chemical sensitivity would be my first guess. But, I'm not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV.

How old is he, and maybe he just really, really doesn't like to shave?

Do his shaving products have a scent. Those could be signs of an allergy to a fragrance.

Yeah, seems like some of sort of allergy. I wonder if he's tried an electric razor and nothing else?

It's most likely something in the shaving cream hes sensitive to. I would make sure everything is extra clean, and shave with a different cream.

what shaving cream is he using? getting him something really basic and unscented would be a nice idea. If all else fails he can grow a beard!

I am going with the others that it's possibly a reaction to the cream, soap, after shave, etc, that he's using. Anything applied to the skin will be absorbed in to the blood stream and could very well cause a negative reaction. I doesn't even have to be an allergic reaction. I have seen shaving products, skin care products, and so on sold in discount/dollar stores that are manufactured in third world countries that I would never take a chance on using.

I like this. It is very "clean". They also make a great AS balm.

You mean an electric? Nothing about an electric should make him sick. People go to electric because they have allergies to products. It seems like there's info missing here.
