If you're planning on trying to view it, you might want to start looking for eclipse glasses now. They're already getting scarce. Beware of fakes, too.
One may use #14 Welders goggles. They can be acquired at a welding supply house or on Amazon, and will set you back $7-$30.
I already have my SE glasses. Then, the wife reminded me that I had a doctor appointment during the scheduled eclipse. HA! Well, I am going to have to reschedule that appointment unless it is going to be cloudy that day.
Just don't understand what the big deal is. The sun gets eclipsed every time it gets overcast I think I'll go color, now.
