Has someone ever gotten the words wrong or satirized a song, so that you can never hear it again, without laughing? I have a few & would love to know your examples. (Please keep it clean.) Here are some of mine; 1) According to my sister (@ age 4) the words to "Jingle Bells" include "Old MacDonald is to ride in a 1-horse open sleigh." 2) "Silver bells" has been re-written to become an "Earmuff day" carol. It goes like this: Earmuff day, earmuff day. It's earmuff day in the city. Have no fears. Warm your ears. Soon it will be earmuff day. BTW, Earmuff day is on 12/1, the date on which earmuffs were patented.
Most famously, Jimi Hendrix: 'Scuse me while I kiss this guy. edit: the one I actually sing: "There's a bathroom on the right." (CCR, Bad Moon Rising) edit2: From when I was a child: Johnny Rivers sang "Secret ASIAN Man." It wasn't until I was in High School that I got it straight (after hearing about the t.v. show).

Sung to the tune of "Deck the Halls" Reck the malls this Christmas season Spend your cash for no good reason Push your charge card to the limit Bank account's got nothing in it.... Fa la la la la la la la la
Ah, I've remembered another one. My friend's little sister was very upset at a song lyric that she thought was "hooked on the ceiling." (Hooked on a feeling)
Hmmm... quick research, may or not be 100% The B.J. Thomas version (1968 or 1969) didn't have the tribal chant. The 1974 version by Blue Sweede did. And David Hasselhof did a version too in 1997. The Hasselhof version (and video!) will truly make your day um.... complete. Just don't eat before viewing, you may die laughing. Oh... I can't let this pass. Must see:
wow, he sure changed his voice with that. I mean, OOGA-CHUCKA" was no "I Just Can't Help Believin' When She Slips Her Hand In My Hand"
Wikipedia has it that the tribal chant originates with a 1971 version by British musician Jonathan King. The Blue Sweede version also changes some of the lyrics.
