RAZOR: Remei DE - Chinese copy of a Gillette Tech
BLADE: Dorco Platinum ST300 - this blade has at least 8 shaves on it.
PREP: hot water face wash with Ivory soap and rinse
BRUSH: VDH Boar - from the Van Der Hagen Premium Shave Set - fifth use from new.
    MUG: repurposed coffee/soup Mug
PRESHAVE: bloom water from shave mug
SOAP: Hybrid Soap Col.Conk LIME & Williams Mug Shave soap
    POST SHAVE: Hot water rinse
AFTERSHAVE: Barber Shop Classics BOOSTER ICED LIME
BALM: Tree Hut Shea Body Butter - Coconut Lime - added moisture and fresh scent
    Remei_VDH_Boar_Lime.jpg
Got a wonderful 2+pass BBS shave this morning with some touchups under chin and neck. 8 shaves on this Dorco blade and still very smooth & effective.
Even though the weather is snowy & cold today, I was in a tropical mood this morning - all about the lime and the coconut!

The VDH Boar brush is already nicely broken in, and provided a very comfortable face scrub with excellent lather.
The Remei razor provides a great shave and is just so quick and easy to use. I could really enjoy a vintage Gillette Tech - especially from my birth year.
    Maybe some day.
    Have a wonderful day.

A quick 1 pass shave and buff this morning with our first snowfall this winter. Not much stubble, but since I was heading out for breakfast with the Misses, no harm in looking clean shaven and smelling good. A restored BBS feel and off I go. Have a great day and shaves Gents... :happy088:

You sure are right about counting blessings. They told us if he did not get surgery, he would probably have died within a few weeks with the tumors growing and pushing on the area of the brain that controls breathing. Typically patients die within 2 months of being diagnosed with his condition and he has survived 3 months before surgery! We will be leaving soon to see him. We are just trying to give him some time to relax and let his blood pressure come down.

Yeah, I like using all types, weights, sizes, etc razors, but I have been fascinated with the lighter razors more over time. Really I don't think one is better then another, I just like the feeling using something light and nibble. On the reverse side, my heaviest razor is the Alpha from Detroit Grooming. I just received that and it is fun to use as well. It is more on the mild side. It is nice to feel something with substance like my Wunderbar or SS Timeless, and they all shave great, but I feel like the lighter razors require a more delicate touch. I think the quality of the shave is impacted less by the weight of the razor, and more by the balance, and technique. Presently I seem to get more enjoyment from the technique utilized with the light razors. For me it is all about keeping a typically mundane task that I used to hate and turning it into something of pleasure to start my day.
