I like it, ive iced mine. Makes it a little different.
It's very close to Pinaud clubman. After i iced it, its become favored over plain clubman.

Great shave today. I wanted to go straight up vintage. I knew the blade was going to be the challenge. I recently came into about 60 new blades. So I decided to put it into the twinplex for a few spins and see if the edge would be sharp to use. This soap usually doesn't work for me. I couldn't get any thick creamy lather from it. After thinking about for a couple of months, lol , it dawned on me. This soap is super hard it needs a stiff brush to break it down. I really didn't care for this brush when I first got it. It's hard and it scratches and it was biiiiggg! I cut down some length from the brush and decided to give it a go on the puck. Sure enough the lather was thick and creamy. This soap needs a stiff boar to bring it to life. The shave went pretty good. The blade wasn't as sharp as I hoped for but it was still good. It reminded me of a blade on its 3rd use. Not quite smooth but still sharp enough. I'm gonna keep using in this week and hopefully the blade comes to life. I'll use the twinplex and see if it will help. Either way, I got really close to BBS. There was a little bit of razor burn and slight irritation. But I'll adjust ..
    Happy shaving gents.!!

Someday I hope to try it. Thank you my friend. I could have added even more water with my last shave, so thirsty is this soap. :)

:signs002: I have had at one time all of the above plus Dusy Kabinett. I find Dusy and Klar to be almost identical. Palm Oil vs. Coconut Oil, otherwise an exact duplicate. The SC clearly mimics both KK & Dusy. Not sure if one really is a clear-cut winner. All good soaps. Klar has the discontinued factor, making it desirable. The Dusy is readily available within Europe. The SC is readily available for us. I imagine a blind test would yield mixed results, so similar are the three.

    SOTD: 12/11/2016 - "Sun Down"

    Pre: Hot shower
Soap: Crown King Shaving "Sun Down"
Brush: Brushguy Shave Supplies "Noah" 3-band Badger
Razor: RazoRock Hawk w/ Feather Pro on West Coast Shaving Barber Pole Stainless Handle
Post: Crown King Shaving "Sun Down" splash

Well, thanks to Douglas Smythe and Frances Towle for making this shave amazing. I was blessed with this soap and aftershave combo (along with a matching deodorant, which I love), and I can't imagine how this shave could have been better. The scent is reminiscent of old school Aqua Velva. I smell like my grandpa, but in the best way possible!
The Razorock Hawk is an incredible shaver and with the heavier handle, it was made completely effortless. And, of course, the Brushguy brush whipped up a luxurious lather. Even on my head. I'm BBS smooth and smelling great!

Be Smooth and shave it up, everyone!

My usual 3 pass shave, but without a cleanup. This brush is simply amazing. Fits my hand perfectly and whips up an outstanding lather. DFS.
