Yeah, I know what you mean. The real fun will begin when I try the Shavette I ordered. I think that will be next weekend's experiment! I am a bit nervous, but am excited at the same time - Truly like when I started with DE's!

    +1 on Shavettes.

    Do you SR?

No - Just DE & SE. This will be my first try with any SR type razor. I know many say replaceable blade SR's are completely different then SR's. Since I haven't used either, I have no personal experience. I just bought a Crown King Shavette with bone scales. Relatively cheap, can take full DE blades or halves, and looked nice. We'll see. I figured it was worth a try and I am excited to experiment.

    Hi Friends,

    here is my morning Shave:

Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89 // Blade: Derby Premium // Soap: Savon du Midi Vetyver // Brush: Semogue Barbear Classico Texugo // Aftershave: St. Johns Bay Rum

Great great shave again. The blade has it´s 3rd use today and was sharp and gentle as on it´s first use. Great blade. I have to work on the lather of this soap, which was not bad, but not what i would call a "very good" lather for myself. The scent is a typical Vetyver scent. Herbal, green, with a healthy dose of erthyness. As Aftershave i used my St. Johns Bay Rum, which i don´t use that often, but when i use it, i do it with pure joy. Awesome scent and pairs good with the scent of the soap.

Have a great time, enjoy your shaves and take care.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

Razor: Timeless .95 OC w/ Hempel Ti Handle
Blade: Personna 74 Tungsten Steel (19)
Brush: Shavemac Zebra Honeycomb 2 Band
    Soap: Reef Point Soap Tranquility
    Aftershave: Folsom & Co. Capri
    Against The Grain Shave towel

The Shavemac Zebra 2 Band is an outstanding shave brush. It whipped up the Reef Point Soap Tranquility in no time into a thick creamy lather. Folsom & Co. Capri is truly an excellent aftershave, and one of my favorites.

I shavette almost all of the time! Tag me if you need to talk it over. Shavettes are temperamental, but yield extremely close shaves. Good luck with it!
