    An unusual second shave for today as I have an early day tomorrow .

    Fantastic shave with the Aristocrat tonight. The Dorco and the razor worked well together. This version of the Aristocrat feels like it shaves a little different to me than the 46-47 version I have.

    Soap: Through The Fire, Devil's Cut
    Razor: Windrose OC Slant
    Blade: Treet Black Beauty
    Post: Warm then cold water rinse, Pinaud Clubman AS

    I stuck with this soap to see if I could improve on yesterday's performance.
    So I loaded, loaded and loaded some more, same result as yesterday, the lather was disappearing faster than I could shave.
    To make matters worse, this was a bad blade choice for a mild razor.
    After a bad first pass, I decided substitutions were required.
    The R41 was the closest DE razor to hand but I didn't fancy chasing vanishing lather round my face with such a beast, enter stage left, the Palmolive shave stick.
    What a turn around, I'm as pleased as punch and smugger than Smuggy McSmugface.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

    MWF Soap
    Semogue SOC Boar Brush in Ash
    PAA Bakelite OC Slant with a Rapira SS Blade
    Alum Block and Rinse
    Homemade Buttermix
    Murray & Lanman Florida Water

    The cold weather prompted the use of the MWF and my buttermix for maximum protection. The Rapira blade is not the sharpest...but a little buffing on my neck gave the desired result.

    A wonderfully smooth shave today:)

    No complaints at all about this shave - it was smoother than silk and so enjoyable. This Rosemary Mint soap from Wriggly Tin sure lathers like a bomb and gives a pretty good cooling effect with a comfortable post-shave feeling. The scent is perhaps not the greatest but I can still live with it. The Lucky Tiger and Alt Innsbruck felt like heaven afterwards!
