    I know it's kind of early to do my kick-off but I'm all alone in the house and I can only entertain our German Shepherd so much - so here we go!

    If you guys think that the Black Ice soap from Rod is cold, you're right because it really is. This Glacial Obsidian has the same black licorice scent, the same awesome lather, BUT: It contains more than triple the amount of menthol so unless you're able to tolerate a freeze which feels almost painful and if you don't mind shaving with your eyes almost closed, DON'T even think about using this soap. (This way I'll have it all to myself!) Just kidding, don't worry - it's wonderful stuff and so is the matching balm. The Snake Bite aftershave splash is another top face-freezer which I'll soon need to buy again! ;) :D

    The weather has warmed up considerably so figured I'll freeze my face off tomorrow. The QCS Vostok is the most mentholated soap in my den and both the Myrsol products are mentholated as well so should provide a chilly shave to someone who can't handle menthol very well. :scared001:

    After I receive my generous PIF, which should be Tuesday of this coming week, I figure to be all set for cold-weather soaps for quite a while. Brushes, too, for that matter.

    The Jeeves of Hudson Street face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #128 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Acevivi Dual-comb Razor with a Personna Super blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Being a Giants fan, it is hard to "like" a photo with the Cowboys! Either way, neither is going to the Super Bowl this year. Oh well, I guess we just need to wait for next season.

    Blade: Rapira SS
    Brush: Maggard 26mm synthetic
    Soap: Tabac
    Post: Stetson A/S, FW (iced)


    It's been a while since I used the old Tabac, not completely crazy about the scent but the performance is pretty darn good. The Maggard Brush made a mountain of lather, and the Rapira blade was running smooth. Finished off with Stetson in the morning and splashed on a little Florida Water in the evening. Hope everyone had a great shave!

    Marvelous shave with the PAL Adjustable injector razor this morning. Excellent bountiful, beautifully scented lather from the Stirling Electric Sheep shave soap. Three passes for a dolphin smooth finish. Have a great day friends. :)
