    The Jeeves of Hudson Street Velvet Jacket face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #92 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Injector with a Chinese Schick blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Florida Water Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    What a great shave soap. The Route 66 Frozen Margarita has juicy notes of Mexican lime and sea salt, light hints of plum, berries and apple over mid notes of rose and jasmine; anchored with earthy, freshly cut hay, topped with a dash of cooling menthol. This followed by the Frozen Margarita Balm makes for an amazing shave.

    Jan 9: Took my time this afternoon with the shave. Lots of soaking time with a hot water soaked towel. Barrister & Mann Taiga - great woodsy scent - just like my property. Omega Professional Boar, Captain's Choice bowl, finished with good old Barbasol. Tried a new razor - the Muhle R89. Gave my trusty Merkur 34c a rest. The R89's, with an Astra SP blade, performance was out standing. Only thing I noticed was that the R89's handle was not as aggressive as the 34c. A bit difficult to hold, especially since the B&M soap is very slick. Just need to get use to it. All in all - a top notch shave.

    This is the kind of face-freezing setup I look forward to when our weather allows it. This Glacial Spearmint stuff is so cold that it feels like a thirty below zero morning but there's absolutely NO danger to the skin whatsoever. The Penguin also feels intensely-cold but it makes you feel great. By the way, the Wilkinson Sword blade I'm using is from Gillette - just thought I'd mention it in passing. It really cleans up the stubble easily and comfortably! ;) :D
