    Good morning.

My very personal Man-Spa experience this morning, after a very intense workout (that vacation and related eating & drinking was maybe a bit much after all… ;-) consisted of a quiet quarter of an hour at the Gym’s sauna followed by an invigorating shower and a very Zen shave with the following ingredients:

Musgo Real pre shave oil (it just smells so good...)
    Calani Lavender shave soap
Mühle Travel shave brush in Nickel with Silver Tip Fibre
Schick Injector M1 Adjustable SE razor
Personna PFTE-coated Injector blade (shave #6, maybe? Or thereabout…)
    Bloc Osma Alum
    Musgo Real Classic after shave

    Very very nice!

Great shave this morning. I have a bunch of sandalwood samples to try but the weather is just too hot and humid. The Selby's and Lilac seemed perfect for today. Have a good one.

A 2 pass DFS. When shaving with the Muhle, it is hard not to get a great shave. The razor becomes an extention of my hand and I know every angle of it perfectly! :)

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/Rapira day 5
Old Proraso Green SC :love055: :love055: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
Visal AS Gel :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Alcolado Glacial Menthol Splash :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Azzaro Pour Homme EDT

Once again, BBS in 2 effortless passes - the Rapira/Super Speed combination has proved itself to me as being the best for my particular needs. My beard is very tough and I have sensitive skin, but I get wonderful, close, and very comfortable shaves at all times. Even the older version of Proraso Green cream gave me great lather with a nice cooling effect. The Visal gel is even colder than the 444, and the Alcolado Glacial is definitely (at least to me) colder than Osage Rub. ;) :D

Prep: Brush soaking in hot water, face scrub with TSD Sandalwood soap, Tepid Water Shower
    Razor: Gillette NEW Short Comb
    Blade: SuperMax Super Platinum
Brush: Vie-Long LE Beehive Horse Hair
    Soap: TSD Sandalwood
    Cream: TSD Sandalwood Wheat Cream
    AS: Aqua Velva Musk
Post: Cold Water Rinse, Alum, Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave.

The short comb NEW always provides and effortless shave. I am so used to the everything about it, that at this point it just feels like an extension of my arm.

Two passes, light buffing and I have better than a DFS.

Razor: 68 Slim Gillette Adjustable (N4) (set on 9)
Blade: Blind Blade Test Blade 1 (3rd use)
    Brush: Lions Head Silvertip
    Cream: RazoRock XXX Sample
A/S: Alum & Cold Water Rinse
    A/S: Aqua Velva Musk

Day 3 of the first blade in the Blind Blade Test and I got a BBS shave today with no nicks and some razor burn. The soap was a little thin; it is possible I had too much water in the mix although the lather consistency did not change when I added more soap. I like the blade; I wish I knew what it was, but I promised as part of the test not to look.

    Face Wash: Nivea Moisture Wash
    Razor: Weishi TTO
    Blade: Astra (3)
Brush: 18mm TGN Finest in a Baton handle
Soap/Cream: Mama Bears - Night Train
    Post: Speick ASL

The Weishi is not the razor for the Astras either. After 3 passes I still had slight stubble over most of my face so I did a third pass with a Personna Super in my 38M. I do like the feel of the Weishi in my hand, however, in spite of the light weight. As mild as it is, it might make a good first razor for my 14 year old son.

I still need to test the Weishi and the Lord L6 with Ladas blades, but as it stands now, I'll keep the Weishi and PIF the L6.

    Hot shower and facial scrub
    Proraso Sensitive Pre/Post shave cream
    Feather Portable/Super Max SS Blade
    Semogue SOC Boar
    Proraso Green (Old Version) soap
    Alum Block
    Proraso Aftershave Milk
    Proraso AS
    TBS Kistna EDC
    Dax Super Neat

My post night duty shave....and I decided to use some kit I havent used for a while. Proraso was the first 'proper' soap I used when I started wet shaving, and it has been ages since I used my Feather Portable. Today's shave was an absolute pleasure. I will have to revisit this combination again. 3 pass BBS.

    Pre (Eucerin, cool shower)
    Omega 10083 Pro boar
    MWF
    Merkur 23c w/ Red Personna
Post (Cetaphil, cold water rinse, Nivea Sensitive Lotion)

BBS- by means of wtg, xtg, atg, touch-ups.

Hadn't tried Red Personnas for quite some time (first experiences were not overly positive). So, ... I lathered up some MWF :kar: and proceeded to mock the beautiful lather with a somewhat coarse shave. I misspeak. The blade proceeded to mock the beautiful lather by delivering a coarse shave. Though adequate in sharpness, the blade flexes so much that it seems to chatter rather than cut confidently through. How an inanimate object can have confidence, I don't know. But this blade's behavior showed a definite lack of confidence ... quivering in the face of destiny. The cowardly lion found his courage. The Red Personna will need to find it's courage in another's den.
