An excellent 2 pass DFS. I opted for the aristocrat instead of my Muhle because of having heavier growth, and I wasn't disappointed in my decision.

Prep: Brush soaking in hot water, face scrub with TSD Sandalwood soap, Tepid Water Shower
Razor: Schick Type E Injector Razor
    Blade: NOS Schick Plus Platinum
Brush: Vie-Long LE Beehive Horse Hair
    Soap: Tabac
    AS: English Leather
Post: Cold Water Rinse, Alum, Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave.

While looking through my shave of the day picture, I realized that it has been a while since I have shaved with my E Type. Every day I see Nick using his and I think "I really need to shave with mine tomorrow".

Being that I am participating in a blind blade test where I will be using the same razor every day for a month, I figured that this may be may last chance to use my injector. So this morning I broke out the old Schick, opened up a fresh pack of NOS blades and gave her a spin.

I forgot how nice of a shave that these old injectors give you. Two passes and light buffing is all it took for a shave that is so smooth, that it puts to shame many razors costing ten times as much.

I am sure that I will be saying "Damn I'm Smooth" (in my best Beavis impersonation) all day long, probably to the piont where either my co-workers or my wife will tell me to knock it off.

Razor: 68 Slim Gillette Adjustable (N4) (set on 9)
Blade: Blind Blade Test Blade 2 (2nd use)
    Brush: Lions Head Silvertip
    Cream: TOBS Sandalwood
A/S: Alum & Cold Water Rinse

Day 2 of the second blade in the Blind Blade Test and I got a BBS shave today with no nicks and no razor burn. It is a little strange this is the second blade in the Blind Blade Test that tugged on the first day and the second day was very smooth. There was no tugging whatsoever, all-in-all a very enjoyable shave.

Ogallala Bay Rum,Limes & Peppercorns mixed with a small amount of 444 :love029: :love029: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

Today was a 2 razor day with limes day.The r41 did a great 2 pass BBS shave and the OCMM handled Thunderdome with a 1 pass BBS.The H.I.S. brush did a great job of face and head lathering. The Ogallala Bay Rum,Limes & Peppercorns smells great and so far nearly a hour after my shave I can still catch a whiff of lime, not bad for a citrus/bay rum scent.

Excessive heat continues here. Everyone stay cool, hydrated during the heat. Check on your elderly neighbors, and keep pets indoors.

    Shower & Shave

A tepid shower this morning to start with, then gradually added heat. The humidity is making Mr Arthur dance throughout my joints.
While showering the King Parker Badger was warming.
Before lathering I scrubbed my face with Proraso glycerin.
The Parker made up mounds of lather from the TSD "Monkey Farts".
The last day for the Fatboy and Super Max combo, dialed the Fatboy down to #5.

After three comfortable passes, cold water face splash, RazoRock alum and the :Animatedfrozensmily: chiller Osage Rub. BeFunky_Grunge_11.jpg

    Thursday Morning

    Pre (Eucerin, warm shower)
    Simpsons Milk Churn
    Gold Dachs Spezial
    Merkur 23c w/ Astra SP
Post (Cetaphil, cold water rinse, Nivea Sensitive lotion)

DFS++ by means of wtg, xtg, no-touch up. Sneaked up (or "Snuck up" in the local vernacular here - myself born and bred with it) on a 2 pass BBS. Had I time for another pass ... .

Don't use my Gold Dachs as often as I should (too many great soaps to rotate through) ... it provides an exceptional shave. Close. Protective. Rinses nicely off, leaving my skin refreshed and light. It's soaps like these that keep me honest in the tallow vs. vegetable based soap discussions ... I love both!

Guys just want to say how impressed I am with the diversity and quality of the shaves and write ups this week. The photos are very professionally done. Great reading!

Did have a very nice shave this morning.
    Razor: CJB blade handle
    Blade: Feather Proguard Blade 4x
Soap: Ingram Cream c Menthol a gift of a friend from the UK. Great cream for an open razor.
    Alum
AS: Thayers witch hazel c lavender.
    Balm: Pre de Provence
This Feather Artist Clone is a great shaver. And after 4 shaves you can't tell that the Proguard Blade isn't a new one.
Thanks to everyone on the shaving sites that made this equipment possible.
    Thanks.

    Captain's log shave date 19072012
    Preshave: the usual Olive oil
    Soap: Geranium Grapefruit
    Brush: Omega 1005
    Razor: vintage Henckels 4/8 HG
Aftershave: Olive + Lavender-Bergamot oil blend

Did a 2 pass shave WTG and XTG with very decent results. A good shave overall. Not much irritation and good reduction. The SR is still a bit awkward and takes significantly longer than the DE, but the smoothness of the razor action is improving. So onward into battle we go...

    Good morning.

My Friday pre-weekend shave ritual today consisted of:

    Musgo Real pre shave oil
    Calani Lavender shave soap
Mühle Travel shave brush in Nickel with Silver Tip Fibre
    Schick Injector M1 Adjustable
    Personna pfte-coated Injector blade
    Bloc Osma Alum
    Musgo Real Classic after shave

I am taking SWMBO for a quick weekend trip up north to “Ho Chi Minh City” (Saigon in the old days) for a change of scenery. Work’s been intense these past 2 weeks. Be back on Monday morning. Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend!
