This was my second shave with my new R41 and it was just as awesome as the first. I ended up with a 2-pass near BBS (just shy of it). I did have one weeper under my chin that went away with my cold water rinse, but other than that, it was smooth sailing. Have a great day everyone!

The Truefitt & Hill served up a beautiful, slick lather but the scent was weak. Didn't care for the scent or the greasy feel of the balm.

My shipment from Ogallala came today. I already knew I loved their products but now I have full size instead of samples. Nice smooth shave, no issues whatsoever. Of course they sent me a freebie, more AS samples and a bar of bay rum and sandalwood soap/ shampoo bar. I can't say enough how much more I like this company every time I order from them, it really makes me feel like a valued customer and not just some guy ordering stuff from a faceless company.

A late shave today, and as I had plenty of time....I decided to give the Cobra Classic its inaugural shave. I am familiar with the Feather blades as I use them with my Artist Clubs....but I was still a little nervous. The razor was easy to load, und using the NO PRESSURE required for the ACs......I achieved BBS in 2 passes. I was very impressed. Absolutely no sting with the Alum Block, so all in all a fantastic Face Freezing Shave:wave:

 

MONDAY...87 out with 66% humidity, so...

Razor: Ranger Tech with stropped carbon.

Shave cream: Some King of Shaves mentholated gel Meijer had on clearance. Not bad stuff when it's 1/2 off.

After shave: My own mix, approximately 60% vintage Skin Bracer green, 30% Lime Sec and 10% Osage Rub, spiked with probably a teaspoon of menthol crystals.

15 minutes later I'm sitting here under the fan and my face could not feel better. Shave itself was mediocre, didn't feel like pushing it today.

 

Un-expected SOTD tomorrow.


Gillette Parat (German Rocket) with one orginal blade left.

For some reason, it's head is slightly narrower than the English FT Rocket and as heavy if not a little more.
We'll see how it shaves.

 

Looking fwd 2 hear how it shaves.

 

The only thing I can figure out is the TSD, lol.

Post: Cold water rinse; Krampert's Finest Bay Rum

My first use of an Iridium Super blade & it was great. Very smooth & sharp. Paired with the sledgehammer, my 2-day growth had no chance of resisting. Still enjoying the Silvertip Fibre & the King Louis

My favourite razor the Japanese Fon Golden Star, and she really did turn in a star performance with this shave, she can challenge my Feather AC - SS when it comes to sharpness, beautiful BBS shave.​
