• Music: Laïs, Douce Victime
• Brush: Wilkinsin Sword
• Cream: Palmolive Classic
• Razor: Gillette Old Type OC
• Blade: Gillette Sharp Edge (duh! ), shaves 5 & 6, hand stropped
• Shave: 3-pass + touch-up
• Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse

Twice a DFS +
The 'new' bowl works nice for lathering. The underside gives a nice grip and the handle is large enough to comfortably fit my thumb. The ridges on the inside might be a bit more distinct, though. But it lathers rather well!

You should try the Arko Aqua aftershave gel. That has a strong cooling effect.

Well, I was right about the MWF last night. Just to thick of a soap for the muggy heat.
So tonight I loaded up on the menthol

Hot shower with Nivea cool body wash/scrub face with Axe shower tool.
Proraso green pre shave
Proraso green shave soap
Omega badger brush
Gillette super speed
Shark super chrome
cold water rinse (several)
Finished with Aqua velva ice sport...aaahhhhh
What a DF 3 pass S

I got a DFS with some razor burn, but no weepers, or nicks. I pushed this to 3 shaves but it really died after the 2nd shave.

It turns out that with a warm water rinse, the menthol affect of the Anthony Logistics SC is not that strong. With a cold water rinse, however, it's ICY!

Today I used 3 different AL samples that my wife picked up at Sephora. The all performed wonderfully, though I'm pretty neutral on whether shave oil helps. The cream and ASB, however, are very nice and I would buy them in the future.

Saw something this morning I haven't seen during my shaves in quite some time - BLOOD! Yep. Small weeper just between the chin and the lip. Oh, well. Other than that, a most fantastic shave.

This Nanny's soap is a true and genuine face-freezer with a lovely scent and great lather. The menthol effect is very close to that of the Italian Palmolive Menthol or Godrej Menthol Mist. The 444 balsam not only cools the skin beautifully, it also soothes it and prevents dryness. The Alt Innsbruck put the final freezing touch on this wonderful shave!

Quick 2 pass DFS this morning just to try out the Proraso white. First impressions are that it is pretty much the same, performance wise, as the green, just without the menthol. It's nice though, but I'm not convinced yet that it's worth a buck more than the green.

To paraphrase Gary (GDCarrington), "you have to work with what you have".

Well today I was officially out of my "real" shaving creams and soaps, so I had to use the Gillette Fusion ProGlide. I had purcahsed this goo months ago in case of an emergency, well today was an emergency as I was out of everything.

I probably should not have attempted to build a lather in a bowl, as you can see, it does not look very good, it was airy, lots of bubbles and too wet.

It applied well enough, was extremely slick, but had little cushion. It performed enough to get the job done so in the end that is all that matters.

I must say, I do love the smell of it, as it has a nice and clean scent that I find refreshing.

I wish that Gillette would make a tube cream with this scent similar to the Barbasol Non Aerosol Therapeutic Shave Cream instead of this blue goo.

Today I also saw something I haven't seen since Feb,my blood.Yeah I got 2 small headweepers,not bad they closed up real quick,and a lil razor burn in one small spot on my neck.The Tradere has been a great razor for me but I suspect it may not like Voskhods.It sure wasn't the lather,the Iced Mojito lathers up nice,great cushion and slick.Plus I got a lil extra slickness from the Musgo Real Mr. Glo.The headweepers may have been pilot error,but the razor burn I'm sure was the blade.It was funny I had no burn from the alum just some stinging on the weepers.Other than that it was my usual 2 pass face,1 pass headshave,BBS all around.
