    Prep: Hot shower
Lather: RazoRock La Famiglia Zi' Peppino - ultra face lather
    Brush: Muhle Silvertip Fibre
    Razor: Sledgehammer Slant
Blade: Iridium Super extra stainless (3); 3 passes
Post: Cold water rinse; Krampert's Finest Bay Rum

Each time I use the LaFam/TFS soaps I ask myself why I use anything else. These soaps lather perfectly for me, I get a great shave with them each time, & my face feels amazing afterwards.

    Pre-shave: Hot shower, hair conditioner
    Soap: TSD Iced Sweet Tea
    Brush: Firehouse Pottery 22mm Silvertip
Razor: Clauss 11/16, Koken New Charmer, Campbell (I was testing sharpness after honing so I used all three)
Post-shave: warm water rinse, cold water rinse, alum block, cold water rinse, witch hazel
    A/S: Pinaud Special Reserve
    Moisturizer: L'Oreal Men's Expert Vita Lift w/ SFP 15

Today's shave was a bit "busy", shall we say. I honed a couple of my straights last night, and I wanted to test the sharpness of them this morning against Glen's honing job, so I used all three. The two I honed were actually not too bad. I'm definitely getting better at it. All in all I ended up with a DFS, but I did nick a crease on my neck. It didn't bleed bad or anything but it is a bit red. Have a great day everyone!

Thought it was about time to revisit the super speed.

    Hot shower
    Kent soap with lanolin
Gillette 1956 super speed flair tip
Aluminium rubber set brush with omega pro boar knot.

Not bad, mild but not bad, this is the lightest razor I have used for a while with the exception of my schick, This razor really is too mild for me to use when I shave and not as refined as my FB, I suppose I have spoilt myself with some of the razors I have used over the last 18 months.
Its been a while since I last used the kent soap I keep it in the air tight tupperware tub it keeps it moist and it always lathers well even if its been over 8weeks since I last used it lol, granted it not pretty but it work well for me.;)

I was in a huge rush this morning and ended up doing a 1 pass shave with an overused Astra SP and RazoRock brushless cream. And you know what? I got almost as good of a shave as I would with all my fancy prep and a new Astra. Yes, I'm looking a bit scruffier than usual at the moment, but still not horrible. So, my only conclusion is, I rock! :D

    Wash: Nivea Moisturizing Face Wash
Pre-shave lather: Williams Mug Shaving Soap - First time using it!
    Razor: Merkur 38M
    Blade: PolSilver (7)
    Brush: Vulfix 660S
    Soap/Cream: C.O. Bigelow SC
    Post: Anthony Logistics ASB
    BBS!

This was my first time trying to lather Williams. I had read that to help it along, first soak the puck in water. Some said even over night. Well after just an hour the puck was enveloped in a thick layer of gelatinous goo. Not what I was expecting. I poured it off and tried to build some lather in the bowl. No luck. Then I tried face lathering. No luck. Both times I got a very foamy "lather" with too much air. I had read that Williams like a lot of water, so I kept adding and adding and adding. I kept whipping and whipping and whipping. I never did get anything I'd want to shave with, but for a preshave lather, it was ok. I'll keep at it this week, but my first thought was to throw it away. I wouldn't even use it in the shower because I have much better soaps for that.

The PolSilver is on it's 7th shave and still going strong. So far this blade is slightly ahead of the Iridium in my testing.

I'm comparing the menthol level of Bigalow and Anthony Logistics SC. it seems as they are about the same. They both are quite frigid when rinsed with cold water, not so much when rinsed with warm water.
