Very nice shave the other day. Love the earthy scent of Sandalwood Patchouli and the performance of Lisa's is top notch. Managed to get a BBS shave with minimal effort.

Nice refreshing shave this morning. Bought this Dendi soap from a member of another fourm, a patently it is a triple milled artisan from eastern europe. The scent is a nice clean rose, something like Klar Kabinet but a little stronger. Scooped out a small dab and it whipped up a creamy lather in the copper bowl with no problems. The Lord blade was showing signs of age and will be replaced, but still managed to get a decent shave. Finished off with Muir and can still catch whiffs of it at 10pm which is crazy longevity IMO. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves!

 

I've never been one to push blade usage beyond a few shaves. Based mostly on others' comments I hoped to be happy with seven face and head shaves with the Gem PTFE blades during my Cambodia residency. This was shave six, still quite satisfactory.

I am excited for this shave tomorrow morning. I have been wanting to try Ballenclaugh Soaps - specifically Hot Barrel Rose, and Shave Wizard was very kind to hook me up with a sample at the Maggard's meet. Thank you once again for sharing if you are reading this. You are a real stand up guy. I really appreciate your generosity and the depth of your knowledge when it comes to all the artisan soaps. I enjoy reading all your posts about products I never heard of. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Man, I was pushing on PAA to do a Burley knockoff version. I seriously hope PAA does it. I'll buy 2 sets of it at least (assuming they nail the scent, but I'm confident they can).

 

It is one of Avons nicer looking decanters.
The brush is a custom order, from @Jayaruh . I put a Whipped Dog Silvertip in it.

The Ambassador struggled with >24hrs growth, particularly with the grey hairs in the Van Dyke area of my stubble.
I also experienced the drag others have mentioned.
I'll turn it up to four tomorrow and hopefully this'll rectify both issues.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Arko Extra Performance Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #291 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1907 Lather Catcher Razor with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Beautiful.

 

Why do you think that is? Even my AS-D2, with its minimal blade exposure still cuts, without effort.

Good morning friends. A fine three pass shave today with the Gillette Aristocrat loaded with a Gillette 7'o'clock blade. Marvelous lather from the Italian Barber Milionario shave soap. I finished with Old Spice, feeling smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺️
