nox.jpg 444_gel_01-340x340.jpg Booster-Mosswood.jpg I have to catch a very early flight to New York City for a business trip Monday morning so I'll start off the thread now. I'll be back tomorrow evening at around 5:00 PM.

    Menthol Monday:

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/new Rapira
Noxzema SC :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    444 AS Balsam :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Booster Mosswood AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:

For this shave I am more interested in a traditional and really "old-school" theme, so after the 444 balsam, which we all know is a real face-freezing skin soother, I want to use the Mosswood aftershave which is so nice and barbershoppy-scented. I cannot point out enough how much I LOVE the Noxzema cream - the only reason I don't use it more often is because I know myself - I'll use up all the tubes I have in record time, and there is no way to ever get it again. ;) :D

    Good morning.

    Monday’s shave:

Martin de Candre ‘Savon de Marseille’ face wash during the shower
    Martin de Candre shave soap
Mühle Basic Nr. 02 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
1960 British Gillette Flare Tip Rocket
    Feather blade (1.)
D.R. Harris Bay Rum after shave

    Just nice!

    Monday 4th June

    Hot Shower and Facial Scrub
    3P Pre/Post shave cream
    Kai Captain Excelia (Japanese Style)
    New Forest 2222 HMB Silvertip
    Lea Menthol Shaving Cream
    Alum Block
Osage Rub mixed with a little 444ASB
    Aqua Velva AS

Shave 10 today with the Feather Super Professional Blade. I had to work at it a little more.... but I managed a very high end shave with two passes and a touchup. I think it will be something new tomorrow as the blade was starting to drag a little towards the end.

    Injector (G)
    Schick blade
    Penworks Finest
    Proraso Green
    Proraso Splash

The G type injector was amazing! It seemed less harsh than the E, but has a bit more bite than my L-type and Feather injectors. :) It was a true quick 2 pass, I was done in a matter of minutes. ....what a great razor! Thanks Justin! :)

Prep: Noxema and ice water face wash. Ice water soak of brush, tepid shower.
    Razor: Gem G-Bar
Blade: CVS Carbon Single Edge Blade
Brush: 1950's Stanley Flat-Top Badger Brush
Soap: 10 Swirls of VDH and 2 Pumps of KMF unscented
    AS: Pinaud Clubman
Post: Cold water rinse, Naturally Fresh Alum, cold water rinse after a minute, a bathing in Clubman.
Music: Depeche Mode, Playing the Angel

A DFS in three passes, with some additional light buffing and touch ups below the jawline and on the neck. I keep telling myself to put down the SE's for a while and use the DE's, but it is hard to do when I get such an effortless shave.

Razor: 69 Slimline Gillette Adjustable (set on 8)
    Blade: Sharp (3rd use)
    Brush: Semogue 830
Cream: Proraso Green & Williams (ultra-lather)
A/S: Alum Bar & Cold Water Rinse
    A/S: Aqua Velva Ice Blue

I got a DFS with a little razor burn, no weepers or nicks, 3 uses is all I can get out of this blade. I am still working on my ultra-lather technique. This morning’s lather was exceptional, thick and rich, with a good amount of lubricity.

    Prep: Cold water rinse
Lather: RazoRock Zi' Peppino - ultra face lather
    Brush: Semogue OC 2-band
Razor: Gillette Single Ring head*, Merkur 23C handle
    Blade: Voskhod (1); 3 passes
    Post: Cold water rinse

Cold water shave before my shower as a test. I'm quite pleased with the results and will continue to explore this further. The Old was better than I thought it would be, but didn't shave me as close as I'm used to. Tomorrow I'll use a razor that I'm a bit more familiar with and see how the pre-shower shave goes.

Nice shave from the Cobra 2 pass face 1 pass head, BBS all around.I'm not sure how many more shaves I'm gonna get from the Kai.I needed a lil touchup work today which never happened before with the Cobra.I'll do number 10 and make it a 3 pass shave and see what happens.I'm still very pleased with the Kai blades,9 shaves including headshaves is very good for me,if it makes it to 10 and above I may even dance on the tables :D
