Razor: Muhle R41 (2010 model)
Blade: Iridium Super
Post: Alum, Dickinson’s Witch Hazel
A/S: Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes & Peppercorns
The Muhle R41 (2010) is a much milder razor than the current R41 and a true Open Comb. Coupled with the Iridium Super, it makes for a real nice near BBS shave. The alum block showed that there were no cuts or any irritation at all. The Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes & Peppercorns added a nice touch to the shave this morning.

Prep: Hot shower with sample GFT sandalwood hair and body wash
Razor: Gillette Red Tip SS
Blade: Astra SP
Brush: Omega 599 silvertip
Soap: Truefitt and Hill Grafton SC sample
Post: Truefitt and Hill Grafton Balm sample
Result: 3 pass BBS

I finally got around to using some of my samples. The GFT wash left something to be desired, I never planned on buying any anyway so no big deal there. But onto the shave the Truefitt and Hill was fantastic. It lathered well, smelled great, and left my face feeling good. I hardly think I even needed a balm afterwards but I figured I'd use the matching samples to try it out. I think my biggest disappointment is now I want to buy some of it and that stuff is on the pricey side. Oh well at least I know it's a good product and if I take the leap and get some I won't be sorely disappointed and have an expensive let down in my closet. Sort of a downbeat positive review huh? Such is life.

AoS After Shave Balm - Don't care for it. I tossed the sample pack even though it had one more use in it. Very similar to T&H, which I also don't care for.
