Another fine shave from the Gillette. Revisiting some of my older razors really has me wondering why the heck I'm thinking of getting new ones. I may just have to shave my DE collection down to 2-3 I love, and my beloved straight razors.

AS: Nivea Sensitive balm mixed with Pinaud Clubman

Smooth shave today but it seemed a little rough. My skin was a little sensitive so I used some preshave oil hoping it would help. Still not crazy about the Proraso sandalwood. It performs well enough but I'm really not crazy about the smell. I've been getting together a grab bag to give to my brother for Father's Day because he doesn't do forums or a lot of shopping, that may well end up in it.

Not bad at all. Intimidating size at first but one gets used to it quick enough. Good handling, although will have to experiment with the settings a bit until I find that sweet spot.

I don't think that even a professional barber could have given me a more BBS shave than this - my Super Speed always delivers the best on closeness and comfort. The Arko Ice Mint cream is the only one of that line which has a significant cooling sensation, and the Alt Innsbruck is in a class by itself!

Well, I let my mouth overload my butt. I think I'm going to put the brushless creams down for a few days, I'm just craving soap and some of my other straights. I'm a big fan of the Haslinger soaps and had a great shave this morning. Have a good day. I had a EPA audit yesterday, just about anything is better than that.

I didn't think I'd be shaving this morning because I had a 11 hour day at work yesterday, and was pretty tired last night. But I gave myself the little nudge I needed to start (wetting my brush...lol), and I'm glad I did! I really like the G8...the shave is more comfortable every time I use it. The soap smelled great and the end result is a 2 pass DFS!
