    Pre: Warm water face wash
    Brush: Omega 11137 Boar
    Soap: Salters Tallow
Razor: MIL Industries OC (pass around)
    Blade: Astra SP
Post: Warm then cold water rinse, Pashana AS

As others have said the finish on this razor isn't great, lots of burring between the teeth on the underside of the baseplate. Definitely not a £70 razor, though I understand you can pick them up for £20 on eBay.
The blade aligns up evenly and is held securely and the shave was pretty efficient and smooth but my skin feels slightly uncomfortable.
I suspect this is due to the very heavy (3 5/8oz) handle and I'll try it with a different one next time.
The Pashana aftershave is really growing on me, the very old school scent is like comfort food for the olfactory receptors.
    Have a great Sunday.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #268 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher Razor using a C.V. Heljestrand Wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Although my Astra blade is pretty well finished it still gave me one last hoorah by cleaning me up BBS in two passes - there's no way it could have done a third one. This Wriggly Tin Rosemary Mint soap from South Africa wouldn't win an Academy award for its scent, but it sure lathers beautifully, it's fairly cooling, and it has excellent post-shave care. The Lucky Tiger and Skin Bracer were a perfect finish to this great shave!

    Enjoy your Sunday!

It’s been over a week since I posted last on SOTD, been traveling for work. So, I ask my fellow brethren to forgive my temporary derailment of my usual shaving routine. Yes, disposable razors. I know, I know....... The worst part is, I’ve got about 2 more weeks of travel and the plastic blues. May the shaving gods pardon my infractions. :(

    The Travel Kit
    Barbasol Twin Disposable Razor
    Omega Boar
    Dr. Carver’s Pillowy Shave Lather
    Dr. Carver’s Post Shave Cream
    Nivea Sensitive A/S Lotion

Actually, these plastic blues from Barbasol aren’t half bad. A 2 pass plus touch ups gives a pretty good close shave. Light as a feather, but they do their job. Have a great day and shaves Gents.... ;)

I believe this mornings shave is far better than anything I`ve experienced in the near past. A 2 pass, WTG/ATG with some clean up with small dabs of lather where needed. I`m gonna say awfully close to Dolphin Smooth. So smooth, I didn`t even need the Kleenex test. One very Happy Camper here, wishing the same for all. God Bless.

PAA Bakelite Slant/BIC. Last night's SPEHS and this morning's full beard and head shave provide further evidence (not that I needed any) that if you need a heavy razor to get a great shave the razor is not your issue. My only problem here is that the blade ends don't have much protection, but I can't fault the shave one wit. [IMG]
