Nice & comfy BBS today! :happy108:
I like the razor & its performance. It's an easy shaver. I kinda miss the weight like my other razors have, though. It feels so light! Guess it's just something to get used to. :)

    Have a nice day!

    Wash: Nivea Face Wash
    Razor: Merkur 38M
    Blade: Rapira Super Stainless (3)
    Brush: Vulfix 660S Super Badger
    Soap/Cream: GFT Sandalwood SC
Post: 5Savages AS (witch hazel, rum, Tabac cologne)
    AS: T&H Sandalwood ASB
    BBS-

Alternating between GFT and T&H creams, I find I get more lather per given volume of cream with GFT. I also find that I enjoy the GFT sandalwood scent better than T&H. But when compared for performance, I'm not seeing much of a difference. It's all moot, however, since I'm not going to buy either one of these when I'm done with my samples.

I'm still getting a BBS to near BBS shave from this Rapira blade, but tonight's shave left me a little irritated. I think a lot of that is due to using too much pressure tonight though.

Two pass shave, without doubt a BBS finish after wiping out two days growth, you always get a far better shave IMO when you dont shave daily.

    Wednesday's shave:

Lucky Tiger Lemon Facial Cream / Cleaner
    Hot Towel
    Stephan SC as pre-shave
    Hot towel again
    Vie-Long premium horse hair brush
    Speick SC
    Becker Scuttle
Muhle open comb R41 razor w/ Derby Extra blade 1st shave
    Hot / Cold water rinse
    Alum block
    Speick AS

This was my first time using the R41. It is a very aggressive razor, even more so then my Merkur Slant Bar. Got a very close shave with this razor. I was very satisfied with a very slick three pass BBS shave. Do not apply any pressure to this razor when shaving. I did not suffer any weepers. However if I would of not let the razor do it's job I could see it becoming cut city. This was also my first shave with the Vie-Long premium Horse Hair brush. This is my second Vie-Long Horse hair in my collection of brushes. I must say they are my two favorites. They out perform my badgers hands down. This one pictured is a lathering champ!:D

Today I poured a little 'Pour Un Homme De Caron' EdT, into my shaving mug with the Arko Stick smuched in the bottom....then a squirt of Arko Ice Mint shave cream...The lather was voluminous, and smelled heavenly. No water in the mug just the cologne, but the brush was wet....I was afraid the uber-lather thing would have watered down the Menthol effect of the 'Ice Mint' SC...didn't happen...face is still cold...:)
Did 4 passes...WTG, XTG-left, XTG-right, ATG...with my '55 Schick Hydro-magic/Personna-Long's Drug combo...usually a 2 pass combo, but today was an experiment....and using a 2 finger low handle hold with negative pressure with this super light razor was the most important part...
Results were 'Heaven-Sent'......maybe a hallmark BBS...I'm not even gonna try to keep my hands off my face today...:happy108:

PS...BTW....you know, these Schick Injectors with a sharp-blade just might be the easiest ATG shavers of all....If anybody is bothered by having a problem with making those ATG passes...they owe it to themselves to try one....Even those 'problem' spots like my chin...If I hold the skin taught, this razor just glides ATG without a hitch...and no need to hold the skin anywhere else...At least for me anyway...

    Obsession for Men EDT

This Lord Emofresh cream gives tons and tons of some of the richest lather I've ever experienced, and it has a very nice scent. The menthol effect is rather light, but the 444/Osage Rub duo really intensify it. Although the Rapira blade is pretty well at the end, it gave me a terrific BBS shave. ;) :D
