A lovely three pass shave from a silky smooth razor.
I'm also a big fan of the Maca Root cream and the Alphy & Bess balm.

Superb Sunday
This turned into a Van Yulay day - I wanted to use ylang-ylang scents today because I love the scent and it makes my skin feel good. The lather was thick and slick, and this time I used the Vision wide open for the last pass (ATG) instead of my first like yesterday. I think I prefer today's version.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #289 brush. I did two passes with the Superior Lather Catcher Razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

DE-razor: Mühle R108

Blade: SHARP DURABLADE Hi Chromium Swiss Quality (3rd and last use)

Brush: YAQI 28mm, “Boss knot” type

Shaving paste: Meissner Tremonia, Warm Woods

Lathering: bowl lather

Finish-off: WWR, CWR, cold water compress with shaving towel, Alum block, DICKINSON’S Witch-Hazel Original Astringent

Aftershave splash: EdT of SIR Irisch Moos

Aftershave balm: none

I had a great BBS shave.

Coate’s Lime Cream today. 20 seconds to load the Maggard Marble Synthetic brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Wilkinson Sword “Light Brigade” NEW Chromium in the Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Country Club Frozen Vetiver aftershave.

A belated Happy Birthday to you my friend. Although a somber one for the time being, rest assured that it will get a little bit easier with time amigo. I lost my Old Man 22 years ago and not a day goes by that I don't think of him. In the beginning most thoughts would fill me with sadness and grief and my eyes would water from time to time. Nowadays, every time I think of him, it's good memories of the good times and I always end up with a smile and a chuckle most of the time. Those days and moments will come brother, trust me. You will always have your father my friend where it matters most. In your actions, in your heart and soul. It will come to pass.......

I used the open comb Damaskeene for the first time this morning and what a shave it was!

It’s a smooth and comfortable shaver and it’s just a tad milder than the regular Damaskeene. It also seems to provide more audible feedback than the regular Damaskeene. I love it when a razor talks to me!

There is nothing primitive about the OC. This razor can fit into the modern world and be a razor that anyone can use. This baby is a keeper!
