Late morning shave today. Got back on my blade challenge on another forum. Super Homex, blade no#2. Comfy, DFS 2 passer with no nics, cuts or weepers. Chiseled Face Sherlock finished it off nicely.... Have a great one Gents. Ready to fire up the grill, have some buddies and their wives over and a couple of cold ones. And to give thanks and be grateful that we came home, and remember those that did not. Never Forgotten..........:eatdrink047:

Thanks Clint. It shaves a tad closer than the aluminum version from the added weight and between the Cobra's and now the two General razors they have made my other SE long blade razors pretty much obsolete.

Today I got some of the black\dark green shave soap on a white towel so now I will find out if it stains. I agree, this limes is totally different than the other limes I have which are all on the sweet side.

What about the hard soap? Do you or does anyone have experience with it?

All of Meißner soaps I bought were the hard version. Doing a load of wash tonight so I let you know if the towel is stained afterwards.

    Today's shave
Hot water wash with a washcloth and donkey milk soap
    Ever-Ready 3oo2n badger-lon
    Bombed Route 66 Bourbon Jungle
    Parker Variant (4)
    Persona lab (2)
    Omega Alum
    Pinaud Special Reserve
    Route 66 protobalm
Today's late shave was nice. The vintage knot still holding up well. It performed nicely today.. The bombed jungle smelled very good. I upped the ante with the variant to 4 notches from snugged down. A newish lab to wisk away the whiskers. Very close, no nicks, no weepers, no irritation, only soft hairless skin. I then triple finished my face with alum(surprisingly quiet), special reserve (man up in a bottle), and a rubdown with the prototype sample of botanical balm. That special reserve sure is......... masculine. I'm happy the bourbon jungle softened it down some.
Hope y'all did as well, or better. 20170528_141311_resized(1).jpg

Another very smooth shave with the Rockwell 2c, plate 3. I used an Astra SP this time and worked well. Tomorrow, I'll try a Feather - a blade I don't like in any razor so far. The musky scents of 13 and Black Bot go very well together.
    Prep: water
    Soap: Dr. Jon's 13
    Brush: Brothers Bristles Bronze Shadow
    Razor: Rockwell 2c plate 3
    Blade: Astra SP

The Palmolive sure is a nice soap. Once again I couldn't complete my shave with a straight. RazorRock Protege with a Gillette Silver Blue to the rescue. Have a great week everyone.

Thanks. Sunday is a day where Old Spice is often used because it reminds me of home and I usually have the day off, so it really works as my Old Spice day.
