Here's a set-up which is reserved for someone who's able to handle extra-intense and frigid menthol because every item I have here is colder than hell - even the Neutrogena facial wash. The Glacial Lemon Chill soap's lovely lemony scent, its perfect lather, and its potent freeze can leave you in tears and shivering, the Diana Sport balm moisturizes and freezes you even more and all that's necessary with the Arctique aftershave is a small dab on both cheeks. Any more than that would feel downright uncomfortable - that's how murderously-cold it is!

 

It will soon be Indian Summer.

The Tabac Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #27 Silver Tip brush. Two passes with my Gillette Super Adjustable razor and an Astra Super Platinum blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I had a great mentholated shave today. A three pass, eye watering BBS shave. No cuts, no nicks, and no weepers. The El Druida knot whipped up a thick and creamy lather effortlessly. Sterling MITA is a level below their Glacial soaps, yet still very chilling. This gorgeous @clint64 restore has the best knot of my 400s. Last minute change. Grabbed the Floid Blue from the refrigerator by mistake. Spritzed a bunch on before I realized it wasn’t the Proraso. No matter I am so chill and ready to roll for the rest of the day.

Fantastic shave. Had used Catie's Jardin D'Or is sometime, still performed flawless. Switchback 400 really is a nice addition to my brush collection. Red Tip takes 3 passes, very efficient razor.

So here's the setup I'll be using for the rest of November, barring the unforeseen. I've used most of these products before, but never in this combination. The Ginger's Garden glycerin soap with mango butter provides as much cushion, glide, and skincare as any soap or croap I've ever tried (and I have a spare puck of the same scent). The Bic continues to hold as my favorite blade over-all. I've not used the Thayer's pads before and am impressed with the difference the aloe vera makes on my skin. In using the Myrsol Metilsol, I'll be skipping the application of the alum bar directly to my skin for a month; we'll see how that, combined with the other factors, impacts my skin's elasticity and complexion. Today's final results were a surprising BBS, which is a result I essentially never achieve without an ATG pass. Couple that with no irritation, redness, or bloodshed, and I feel like I've chosen a good setup for the month.

L'Occitane Cade is a very nice soap that provides good slickness and protection. Not quite as good as MDC, but still very nice.
