    Just thinking about this set-up gives me the shivers because it's so damned frigid and eye-tearing, especially the Glacial Lemon Chill soap and the Arctique aftershave. It takes a real Man of Menthol to be able to handle stuff like this, believe me! ;) :D

    This was my first shave with the WD synthetic, and I was so excited that I did both passes with the OT. So, the Aristocrat is just in the picture for eye candy. The Arko Stick face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #25 WD Synthetic brush. Two passes with the Gillette Old Type with brass punch handle and a Personna Super blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Lilac Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Menthol Monday shave was a face chiller with Sterling’s MITA. The iKon OC mowed the stubble down nicely and left me with a scary close 3 pass BBS shave today. The Druida Robo Brush has super soft tips, excellent flow through, and decent backbone. It had no trouble generating a mountain of frosty lather. The chill was on during the first pass, went up a notch on the second pass, and had my eyes watering by the third pass. A generous splash of Mysol Metilsol made me stand up straight. WOW! Love the burn!

    My Sunday SOTD.

    Prep: hot shower with Nivea body wash
    Razor: Maggard MR6
    Blade: Voskhod (2)
    Brush: Semogue 1305
    Soap: Soap Commander Integrity
    Post shave: Nivea sensitive balm

    3 passes(WTG, XTG, XTG + touch up.

    This was my 2nd ever DE shave. It was significantly better than the first. I really focused on the angle of the razor and light pressure. And I have very little irritation. I need to work on my lather a bit more. Using heated bottled water instead of hot tap water(very hard water) has made a difference.
