    SATURDAY'S SHAVE
    20171015_123701.jpg

Prep: MLSW Sandalwood pre shave butter
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Bolzano
    Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic
    Soap: Soap Smooth Pumpkin
Post: HEV Cognac & Cuban Cigars balm, peach Thayer's WH

Had a decent shave yesterday. The SS Pumpkin soap smells nice and did not have any burning issues at all, sometimes spicy scents can irritate my skin from time to time. This one is more of a pumpkin scent that spice. Finished off with Cognac & Cuban Cigars balm, very moisturizing and a great scent for this time of year.

    SUNDAY SHAVE
    20171015_123614.jpg

    Prep: pre shave soap mix
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Bolzano
    Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic
    Soap: Ballenclaugh Festive Parlor
Post: Lucky Tiger, Proraso Woods and Spice balm

Epic 3 pass shave this morning. Absolutely love Ballenclaugh soaps, both scent and performance is incredible. The scents are original and on the masculine side, this one is leather, citrus and clove but the citrus and leather are the dominant notes. Very protective lather and residual slickness. Got a BBS shave and finished off with Proraso Woods and Spice balm which is another scent that is perfect for the season. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves!

Okay man. I do love the superspeeds, but you're going to have to match the razor to this. Perhaps a Gillette Black Beauty?

Nice shave plan there. Awesome vintage mug and Shulton smells. I, mysmelf went with Old Spice today but of the common Proctor & Gamble variety.

Razor - Gillette Red Tip Superspeed circa 1955-1960 (Re-plated in Satin-Nickel Finish by Razor Emporium.)
    Blade - BiC Chrome Platinum
Shave Brush - Ever-Ready 1960's vintage (Polished and re-knotted with a 26mm Ubersoft II knot from Envyshave by Razor Emporium.)
    Pre-shave Oil - Lather & Wood "unscented"
Shave Soap - Old Spice Type scent by The Village Soapsmith
Aftershave - Proctor & Gamble Old Spice "Classic"
Post-shave Balm - Retseliney Luxury Skin Care Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum
Deodorant - Proctor & Gamble Old Spice "Classic"
Fragrance - Proctor & Gamble Old Spice "Classic"

I am pretty much now convinced that the BiC Chrome-Platinum just can't fail to give a great shave for me. It's all but a done deal that it will be my 'Universal Blade'. I will always have a Feather Hi-Stainless on hand to use in my Edwin Jagger Kelvin razor, but even then, the BiC Chrome-Platinum rivals it in that same razor. The runner up blade so far is the Wilkinson Sword and is pretty much working great in all razors I've tested it in too. I just like the BiC Chrome-Platinum the tinciest bit more.

So stoked on Sunday afternoon shave [IMG]
I got my birth quarter BB from @DCRIII in a trade for HIS birth quarter BB! Generation X/other wet shavers United like Voltron!
Short story long, I've had the B4 1981 black beauty for some time and apparently he's had a Z4 1979 for some time, both perfectly acceptable and presentable drivers in great mechanical shape! I had acquired the B4 with the original plastic blister insert (I assume) and a blade dispenser. I told Dave and we arranged mailing. Well, when my razor arrived Friday afternoon, it had an awesome handwritten note from Dave and a fresh tin of his MER Shaving Barbershop soap! I had a neck spot I wanted to give a few days to heal, but I just shaved a few minutes ago.... Holy Grail of shave nirvana! The razor performed flawless on a mild setting of 3 (neck still scabbed) with a fresh Gillette 7 o'clock yellow. Shower head shave with Grandpa's Miracle Pine Tar soap and Shave Secret pre-oil, MER Barbershop lathered with an Omega Barber Pole Hi-Brush and Lemon Thayers and Skin Bracer post splashed. Then I used some good old Clubman Barber Shave Cream as balm (ancient accidental secret).

3 pass with touchup BBS and smooth feeling as I've ever had!

    Thanks Dave!
