this according to the Williamsport/Bowman website(a merger of Wlliamsport Barber Supply and Bowman Beauty.. ).
That's not good. Stephans Island Lime is a wonderful aftershave, a huge bottle, and very inexpensive. The scent lasts a long time for a cheap barbershop aftershave.
I take "discontinued" product threads with a very large grain of salt. It may have just been discontinued by Williamsport rather than by the manufacturer. But just to be on the safe side, I ordered 4 bottles from Lisko. $29 shipped, and they take PayPal. http://liskobeautybarbersupply.com/products.php?181 19 left...
Just got off the phone with The Stephan Company in Florida. They confirmed that it has been discontinued.
I have always seen it for sale on various sites, but have never used it. How does it compare to Pinaud Lime Sec as far as scent?
No clue, really. I haven't tried either one. Lime Sec is supposedly a lime candy sort of scent, very sweet. Island Lime is supposedly a very dry, not sweet, lime scent, with a woody background scent.
Thanks, @PLANofMAN. I was just wondering. I wasn't a big fan of Lime Sec and preferred Citrus Musk more. I see Stephan's has a Lilac too. Sounds interesting for these warmer months.
Lisko only had one bottle left, so they refunded me for the other three bottles. Which meant I got screwed on shipping charges. On the other hand, I received the bottle yesterday, tried a little out. It smells very much like "Old Spice Limes" to my nose, with a bit less of the old Spice punch. My fiancée took one whiff and declared that I wasn't to wear that again until I turned 60.
I ordered a bottle along with a bottle of Lilac the same day. I was charged shipping for the 2 bottles and refunded the amount of the Lime.
I should have clarified my post. I was only charged for one bottle + shipping, I think. But I ordered 4 bottles to help offset the shipping charge. So I ended up paying something like $13 total for a five dollar bottle of aftershave.
