Man! You're right, they're really fairly inexpensive for what you get. Of course now that the words out auld granny sewing box prices will be following those of fat boys
Tucked away safely in the top drawer. A week's worth removable for transport to the shop. A few moisture-absorbing silica packets tucked in the drawer help keep peace of mind.
For daily storage I use a toothbrush holder. I keep it on my bureau, not in the bathroom. I also have a tote box with my other razors -- with some silica packs in for good measure. I rotate my razors frequently.
Well I had a small nice piece of walnut laying around. I thought it might make a pretty nice display rack. I've got it mostly done, but it appears my router grew legs and walked off to my son's house. I'll need to put a cove on the edges, round the edges on the holes, glue it up and put a couple coats of poly on it. Should turn out pretty good.
I use a fountain pen display case I got from Amazon. The round capsule thingies on the left are desiccant packs from my prescription bottle.
Excellent idea! Those display cases come in all shapes and sizes. If one of those 32 slotted cases showed up, ol Spyder would be in trouble fer sure
It is for now I was drawing out one that holds 12 and SWMBO was making snide comments. Sometimes it's better to ease into things...
My wayward router finally made its way back home. I finished all of the edges, put feet on it, and applied a coat of tru oil. It needs a light sanding and another coat of finish. I'll have to re-organize my shelves and get them displayed. I don't think I'll ever need more than six razors in rotation, do you?
I found this 3 drawer artists box that is perfect for my razors and has a little bit of room for more. Plus they are stackable if more space is needed. I have 4 in the shop awaiting honing, and 3 more arriving tomorrow from a couple of trades... might want to order another one....
