My first pool adventure of the year landed me with a horrible sunburn . That was Monday , this is Thursday. My head is peeling bad on forehead and still burnt on top. I don't have much growth . To shave or not to shave...
I used to not wear hats for fear of reduced blood circulation causing hair loss. It happened anyway. For years I've carried a bandana in my pocket. Handy tool for cleaning up a mess, offering to a Lady (assuming I hadn't blown my nose yet), or tying around my head as an impromptu head cover. My only after the fact advice - moisturize. Aloe is good.
I'm shaving tonight . Plenty of aloe gel laying around . I don't let mine grow any longer than 3-4 days . No sunburn can stop me lol Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk
aloe works wonders. Like RyX, I used to avoid wearing hats. Now I've got a collection because sunburns to the noggin hurt!
I've been using aloe gel on it. It's not severely burnt . It's a 4 almost 5 day old sunburn . Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk
+1- this is what my husband uses, if he gets a burn on his head. And I agree about waiting to shave until it's healed. Next step is to get some water-resistant suncreen, for your next swim.
I've found that using aftershave balms such as Stirling, Soap Commander will help in avoiding getting a sunburned dome. Although these products make no claim to being UV protection they work for me. YMMV..
1. Wear a hat. 2. I a hat is impractical, slather on the waterproof sunscreen. 3. If you burn your melon, wait to shave until it heals up. 4. NSAIDs help with severe burn pain. Aloe with lidocaine, too.
