For me, its all about the Samoas.....in limited quantities, though. I remember one time asking the girls scouts outside the grocery store if they had any 'Mimosas?' The moms present chuckled and said, "You mean 'Samoas?" "Ummmm......yes. 'Samoas,' I replied, "although I'll take a Mimosa too if you've got any!"
My daughter sold the most in her troop, Samoa's are my favorite. We also donated a bunch of boxes to the troops. "Operation cookie "
Does anyone else remember the campaign from the late '70s or maybe early '80s: "You don't have to be a girl to be a girlscout"? Even then, I thought it was a dumb campaign... pretty much by definition you had to be a girl to be a girlscout. Tho, of course, anyone could support them.
I only like the Thin Mints and normally buy as much as I can and hoard them for a week before giving in and eating one or two (boxes ) in one sitting.
Grabbed a box of thin mints! Great to watch the young ladies learning how to make change with no technology!
Well they get me all the time. Local Girl Scouts set up outside of one of our stores in a high traffic popular location. I must say I have bought 5 boxes every Saturday since they started selling. Thank god they only set up on Saturdays. The moms say I'm a sucker...
I haven't bought Girl Scout cookies since WalMart came out with their own Samoas. They might actually be better than the GS ones, and cheaper.
daughter is a girlscout, needless to say, I spent about $50 on flipping cookies...I do have to say that the savannah smiles are a great cookie that I just discovered this year.
