Switched to all LED lighting

    I have a couple of those in use. They're great for getting into tight spaces like old style vanities with enclosed lighting. Although, it could be a concern that the rotation would be off for some installations and it wouldn't align in the correct plane.

    If you have solar panels and some battery storage for them, it makes a lot of sense to run what you can off 12V DC. The big problem with DC is the voltage loss in the wiring. Run 12 Volts into 100' of 14 gauge wire and you might only get about 9V at the far end depending on the load. Bigger wires reduce the loss but that's expensive. That gets offset a little by not needing AC to DC power supplies in all your electronic devices though. Lots of tradeoffs with electricity.

    I'm just shocked by how much I've learned just researching LEDs and old dimmer switches. But, it's all been quite enlightening. :lyrtuy5:

    IKEA also sells some interesting low energy lights including LED's.
