Tell me about the Gillette Rocket!!!

I'm looking at getting one of these!

I like the handle and looks of the razor.

Can you guys tell me how it compares to my Merkur 38C???

 

Completely different IMO. Similar aggressivity but just different from there on.

I prefer the Rockets to regular Superspeeds having sold one and kick myself regularly for having done so. Not to mention the rarity of them compared to the regular ones.

It is a vintage razor anyway you cut it so its going to be different than the Merkur 38.

Would I break the bank for one? Nah. But if one came up for anywhere near what I'd call reasonable (and that is a personal value, btw) I'd grab another one.

Well just lost my Rocket on the Bay!

Went WAY over my line!!!

I have others to clean and try just have to wait for a better deal!

 

I've been keeping an eye on them here lately and they are a hot item.

 

I'm not sure I know the difference between a Rocket and a Milord. I have two Milords and like them very much. They look the same as the picture here of a Rocket. I also have a 40s style Superspeed, also very similar. Great shavers, and built to last. They will outlive me I'm sure.
