Curious how long a stick lasts for you when used as a stick. I used Arko in stick today first time in a good while and gotta say I’m ready to grate it tonight and press it into a jar. I really enjoy the soap but this is my second stick (out of a twelve pack) and I’ll be grating it too. Great soap but to me not as effective as Tabac in the stick format.

All lather is determined only by the ratio of water, soap and air. It matters not how you prepare that mix. Your results are likely a technique thing, and lie in the difference between the soaps in the ability to hold water. If you used Arko as a stick for a whole week, you'd achieve perfect results as a stick too.

I can't think of any other way to use an Arko stick than as such!

When you get around to it, don't pack the soap in too tight. I packed Arko into a deodorant stick once and packed it too tight. I fouled the raise/lower mechanism so badly I had to empty the tube and smash the soap into a mug.

It's been a while since I Arko'd up, but you guys are inspiring. Like @GatorJoe & @stingraysrock my stick is grated and mashed into a container, but I'm a bowl latherer.
I'll probably molest the Arko with a shot of AS too!
    What do I know? ;)

I wish more shaving soap manufacturers would make a shaving stick. I really enjoy brushing the soap onto my bristles and face lathering. I think it works best, out of all the different ways of building a lather; I do enjoy them all but I'd love to see more sticks!
