Soap Commander is terrific! I've used several samples and have two other tubs on top of these. Great lather, slick, nice straightforward scents, and REALLY nice people who own the company. Darren and Carrie are great folks.
Received a custom made bowl today, made by my sister who is a ceramic artist in Boise. Blue is my favorite color and we ended up with this design. @Douglas Carey has a couple of bowls made by her as well.
I’m moving to Boise. Does she have a store? Edit: Found the business name in another thread and found her website. Nice stuff.
Stopped into an antique shop today and picked up a couple things. An Old Spice shaving mug for $10. Guess I'll have to buy a puck of soap to put in it. And a Gillette Ball End Tech in a box with some Don Juan's. The razors' in great shape; I just need to give it a bath. Embossed cap and a C4 date code. It's not like I don't already have a couple of Ball End Techs but I didn't have the cardboard slide box and I thought $15 was a fair price. I'm guessing it hasn't been used in a while since it had a Blue Blade in it.
Yeah sure, be happy to. Somewhere in a box, I have another one like yours if you need it for the box. Or I can send you a Gold Tech, gold worn off cap, but still mostly on the handle and base plate.
Yeah, I know what you mean, but for me using a bowl to lather would be like going back to cartridges again. It would be a step back. The bowls I have either hold hard soaps or various shaving stuffs. They are just not used for lather making any more.
Yesterday I got a very nice Christmas gift from @Boojum1. An Omega Silvertip 25mm brush. Looking forward to using it tomorrow. Thank you, Mark. Today, two razors I sent to @HolyRollah came home. Both were pretty rough when I sent them to him, and came back cleaned up and ready to use. Kevin, thanks for bringing these two Sheffields back to like, Kevin.
