The Haul: February 2018

Found a new Thrift Store while doing errands today and they had this just for me. A 1930 Big Boy Gold Deluxe waiting to be loved again. In good condition for its age with no bent teeth.

 

Seller had return shipping label for me within minutes after contact. A good sign

1930-33 Segal. Cool razor could not pass on this one. Only made 3 years due to a patient lawsuit. Guess who won? Will cut a new blade today for my Saturday shave. Nice heft at 2.53 oz. NOTE: Pic #5 has Segal blade loaded.

 

Fine shaver. Inspired to dig mine out tomorrow..

I'm seeing nothing other than 'One way' signs.

 

Those are sweet shaving razors, with modern modified blades. I used one, for a while, several years a rd ago. Congrats. BTW, be very careful of the teeth, and especially the hinge, the cap rotates on. Very very fragile pot metal. Trust me, I know.

 

Very sweet find. I have yet to acquire one, but am always hopeful. I've acquired a few Big Fellows, but the Big Boy is my unicorn razor.
