Here is some pics i took of mine so you can get a better idea how the plates really are not fitting together right. There is a pretty big gap between top plate and blade

The way I see it is the top cap need to roll forward to allow the back end need more L corner shape to come in contact with the base plate, at the front of the top cap there should be no gaps between the blade this needed to be flush flat and level in between the blade

While I suspect the cap really needs to be machined better, I'm wondering if a small shim at the back of the cap (behind the screw, between the cap and base) would work as well. I think someone on B&B had good luck with a piece of a credit card.

It looks like the blade stops are merely cosmetic. They seem flush with the rest of the plate.

    Tech with knarled handle
    Heavy lauder cart handle

The psycho tech is in pretty good condition but I need to replace the top cap. It’s the same size as a travel tech.

Any chance one of you has a crappy travel tech with an unbranded top cap that is in good condition?? Like this one ?

Same problem I had. I returned it. Too bad it seems they didn't actually look at this before they started selling them. We'll see if they have a re release or a v2 or something.

Yes, i'm sure it's not cheap to design and develop a razor .. i'd want to make sure it was right before releasing to public

The story of the development of the Rockwell 6S is a great case study in the difficulty with designing a razor and, more importantly, ensuring the quality of the final product. Lots of pitfalls which mostly center on trusting vendors without doing sufficient QC of the final delivered pieces.

Likely the same thing occurred here. Some well finished test pieces, possibly doctored by the machinist, and the final delivered ones going right into the packaging without additional checks.
