The Haul - October 2016

Get a nice Stainless handle and it'll work great. Tried to use one of my travel techs, but it was on the small side to use, at least for me.

 

HAHAHA that is one way to get to buy some razor stuff.

Received something, to me, rather exciting in the mail - a LA Shaving BBS-1 DE razor.



It arrives in a box and all wrapped up with your serial number on the wrapping paper.
Mine is the 277th BBS-1 razor made;


The first thing that probably strikes you when you have unwrapped the razor is the shine.
This...thing...is....FLAWLESS!
Absolutely amazing polishing (remember these are not chrome plated but polished steel) - potentially the best I've ever seen.
The serial number and engraving on the base plate adds to that feeling of you having bought something rather special.


...and yes the flawless polish and finish includes the inside of the top cap


Great looking razor, beautiful design and oozing of quality...


Can't wait to try it out.


The razor also came with a slew of free products which was a very nice touch by LA Shaving.

 

A fine razor and fairly hard to acquire. Agreed the quality is amazing. Very nice score amigo!

 

Thanks, apparently, according to John at LA Shaving, the BBS-1 design is coming to an end. James is obviously quite busy with his Wolfman razors and in addition to that they are looking to having him do a new design for them to replace the BBS-1.

Nice pics..but how does the blade rest in the base plate / top cap?? Does it have posts?

 

Don't know yet. Just took the photos so far. I'll be using it later this week though.
