The Shake Sharp Razor Pass Around, Round 2

    Some of you have expressed interest in trying the Shake Sharp razor should I decide to do another pass around. Well that time has come. I will be sending both the Bakelite and one of my silver Shake Sharp razors on this pass around. Those of you who were in the first pass around might want to go again, because the Bakelite model shaves very differently than the later model Shakeys.

    Like I did last time, I will send along some Vintage Gillette carbon Super Blue Blades NOS. Each person can take 5 blades. One blade should last you the entire time you have the Shake Sharps, the other 4 blades are freebees for you to enjoy.

    I will also include the Stanford 5 Second Sharpener. It's one of the better carbon blade sharpening devices out there, not as good as a shake sharp, but close.

    You get the razors for 2 weeks. The two weeks start when you receive your shake sharp razors. At the end of the two weeks, you send it to the next person on the list. Since I'm sending a package to King Camp on the 5th of next month, which he is paying for, he gets them first. He will then send it to the next person on the list. I will try to arrange the list in such a way that limits travel time.

    First stop, CANADA!

    Note: Please sanitize the razors before you send them to the next person. Because of the somewhat delicate nature of Bakelite, please do not use Barbacide or Scrubbing Bubbles on it when you clean that razor. Antibacterial dish soap and isopropyl alcohol will do just as well.

    Does it cost anything? No...besides the shipping. I do require that anyone that signs up for the shake sharp pass around must leave a review in the shake sharp thread. Positive or Negative, I don't care. share your experience. Please pack the razors well. Due to the brittle nature of Bakelite, it might break. If it happens, please continue the pass around, I can use the metal pieces in another project I have coming up.

    I will hold spots open for the first 5 people who were invited to the original pass around. I will open it up to 5 more people in addition to those listed below. Express your interest in a reply in this thread, and I will invite you to a PM where you can share your address. No new members please. You must have been a member for at least a month and have over 50 posts to join.

    Nice of you to let some of us have a go at the Shake sharpeys!

    So, yup, count me in, please, Ryan! Mighty curious as to the bakelite Shakey! And a second go at the other one. Yeah! :happy088:

    I'm sure, there are a ton of cats who would love to try them....maybe they're just over looking this thread...I mean...these razors are so cool...what more hook factors could be built into a razor...
    1 works with DE blades...2 Hones carbon blades with the flick of a wrist...3 shaves with the comfort of an injector...4 hone mech can help clear lather...5 has a reputation for a legendary shave...6 Looks like something from a Buck Rogers movie....I mean...talk about your 'Desert Island Razor....With a box of carbon blades and a Shake-Shake...you could be BBS for the rest of your days....:happy096:

    Need I go on.....no self respecting Wet Shaving Guy or Girl could pass up an offer like this...(disclaimer:YMMV..figure of speech...:)) ....any one of those hooks I mentioned would be enough....The only reason I'm not down, is because I already want one too bad....I already told Ryan, if I was a destination, the only way that Bake-lite Shake-Sharp would LEAVE my house, would be if it got broken before it arrived...:happy102:

    Probably...folks round here, just don't know about your more than generous offer Ryan...Only people who are following this thread..

    Man...after the word gets out about these razors....you might have to keep them on the road.....They'll become like the Grateful Dead...I can see the 'Sharp-Heads' camping out on the lawn of whoever is trying them for 2 weeks....:eek::happy102:
    Actually, not that funny...probably will be a few of us Denisons in that Sharp-Head crowd...:happy093:

    I've decided that this will be the last tour for these razors. Oh, there might be a reunion tour down the road, but it will be a be a few years before I do it again.
