Found another Jaques Leccoultre frame back. Overall it looks sound and should clean up well. The scales are definitely not new but I'm not sure if they are original.
Wade & Butcher FBU 9/8 Rattler grind Wade & Butcher Frameback 6/8 There are loads of razors out there, thankfully eBay doesn’t have them all.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you, I am really happy with this acquisition. The scales on the FBU will need some love, I may have to replace them though..... I’m gonna save the collars for sure , no matter what I do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Got two razors back from @HolyRollah with clean up, honing, and a new set of scales for the FBU. Very happy with these. First picture is what I sent him.
and now for something completely different..... Most of my razors are modern production but I could not pass on this one. 7/8, near full wedge and looking very cool.
Just posted in the 30DC thread. Very nice, it came shave ready with a very smooth edge but I will tune it up to be extra sharp. It is big and heavy with tight pins so it is joy to handle.
Just received a paddle strop and it had this straight. I just did a quick cleanup on the Blade. The scales need repair. After some 600 and 13 micron. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I cannot seem to find any info on John Smith. On the other hand. I have found out that M M Rogers MD Tho Original owner of the straight published a few medical books in 1846 here in the US. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
So the Navy game didn’t quite go as planned... But at least the postman was nice to me! A nice 5/8” W.H. Morley & Sons, shoulderless with a thumbnotch.
I picked these up at the monthly antiques faire this morning. The full size razor is an Ed Wusthof Trident. I usually ignore corn razors, but this one is kind of cool looking and I grabbed it. The price was right at $20.00 for the pair.
