Thank you @Spyder ! The one I already have had an etch that is almost gone. That rest of it looks good though.
It was done at the factory as part of this group buy. There is a FB group called Gold Dollar Shave Club, and this is the first batch of this model razor.
Picked up a 4/8 Soderen She needs to be brought back to life .I could not stand to see her in such condition. Can not wait for this restore.
Keith (@Spyder), after seeing this here and in your SOTD’s, and wanting to try a Le Grelot, I had to pull the trigger on this sister razor... I believe this is the 193 (6/8”) version but I really dig the look. Looking forward to getting it in my hands!!! “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”... and totally not a stalker Tom.
5/8 James Barlow & Son Sheffield Pre 1850 Blade Just finishing honing this blade .This razor took an extremely keen edge off the J-Nat . The quality of the steel in this razor is awesome.
Red Imp 133 from Drygulch (thanks Adam!). Being a honing nerd, I put my own jnat edge on it, buttery smooth razor. I've used it 2 days in a row and it just doesn't get any better. Cheers, Steve
Grabbed a pair of razors that got the adrenaline pumping with the first picture I saw. The tang only has a “P.S.” and a “REN...” in a box. The clue is probably on the scales, but I really can’t tell what it is. Whether I learn their history or not, I love the shape and I look forward to ever so lightly cleaning them up and using them. I hope you enjoy... The blade shape: sleek and sexy in my book. And the tang stamp(s): Tom
Dang those are nice! BTW that tang notch is called a 'blood notch'. Better to send them to me.... Cheers, Steve
Tom, I hate to burst your bubble , but those razors are pure junk. So, I’ll send you my address and I’ll step up and take them off your hands.
