Can anyone tell me the difference between these two (I believe Super Speeds?) if you look at the gate assemblies you'll see what I'm noting..

Thanks for any info on the two!!

But also the one on the left has what look to be arms of some kind leaning to the right and the one on the right has those same parts leaning to the let.

The razor on the left is also missing its end cap.

The right one is from 1947. It has a smooth section on the base of the flange. This was the only year for this flange type for the Super Speed.

The other one is user grade since it is missing its end cap. If it has no date code then it is from 1948 - 1950.

"Smooth section on the base of the flange" can you explain a little more, I'm not following. 47/48/49 are or interest to me as my birth year is 48. Appreciate.

The 1947 models did not have the notch inside the head to aid in loading blades and the smooth section as shown below.

You should be able to see the notches in the side shots of the two sets as well.

The one on the right appears to be a '47. I am on the look out for that because it is my birth year. I would certainly be interested in it.

What does the notch mean? Also, neither have a "lean" to them they are both near mint, just a bad pic from my phone. Was intrigued as I have quite a few of these and they all have subtle differences, all in excellent shape.. I'll get some better pics

Here's a couple more pics that might help.

These are of the one at the top of the post:

And these are of the one on the right:

Looks like GD Spelled it out but I'm still curious what "Notch" means.. Lol

    Thanks,

So this is a top view of the one noted as missing it's cap.

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1391404478.816896.jpg

And this is another I have, same angle but appears complete.
    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1391404571.428266.jpg

So the one on the left is missing it's "caps"? Both sides look like this so I thought it was correct.?

Here's a side by side of what I would assume this one should actually look like then? Correct?

    Thanks guys!

    Sincerely,
    James
