I purchased 100 Tiger blades made in the Checoslovakian Republic. They are the 3 hole type. I tried them out and am just updating on my experience. My first shave was @#$%^& shocking. I had more blood on, me than in me. The roughness was particularly from one side of the blade. Second (cautious) shave worked well though. I must have just gotten one dodgey blade. Third shave, I am planning to shave with the first blade after honing it in my "Capstan Quickstrop" to see just how good it is. I am not sure if these blades are stainless or mild steel? Anybody know for sure? (Hint: my blood did not rust the first blade after shaving)
They look like blued carbon steel. But, I don't know that for sure. IIRC, that other web site has someone over there that tired them also, with similar unhappy results.
Well I tried honing the first dodgey blade and it shaved much more smoothly and I ended up with a pretty good shave.
