I have had my second and third shave with mine and am now hooked. Just need some work around the chin and it will be all good
The GEM, Ever-Ready, Star, 1912/Juniors give outstanding shaves. Other than different names; is there any real difference among them? Of the DEs, the Gillette New seems to give the best shave. How many open comb model Gillettes were made in silver? Richard:happy005
1. well, techically 2, although it was the same razor, different packaging: the regent tech and the senator. thats for the USA. theres a silver open comb aristocrat from england as well.
Gem #1 Finally got the goo off of it. I'm taking it for a test drive afterwhile. Not the best pics, but here they are anyway.
Very nice MsB..I have not shaves with one of the bullet tip micro's enjoy and let us know how it goes.
Ohhh it goes and goes GOOD. Slow and careful. Very smooth shave with a Pal blade. I'm impressed with it! :happy036
I guess they are too new for you. It surprises me to hear it all the same. I've got one sitting here that is waiting to go. I am guessing that it will be time for another SE shave on Saturday.
I have several of the older ones but none of those models. I only have one of the clog prof which is a safety bar,. I like the shave from it a lot though.
Yeah I have a clog pruf waiting in line as well. I ought to mix in the OC MM when I try those so I have a comparison of the two. Still looking for an OC gem like Dave had.
I think everyone is looking for one of those early 1912's... The clog pruf actually shaves nice,. I enjoy it a lot. Well worth a trip around the block.
I afraid that is not a problem with him MsB. He has some pre 1912 sets that are awesome.. including wooden handle ones. and the elusive double ring.
