Has anyone seen this handle? I can only assume it is a clone. It has a nice weight behind it at 26g. The lengthened ferrule helps it to have the same length as a standard Gillette DE handle. The width is 10.5mm, which is in between a Slim Common Bar(9.5mm) and a Common Bar(11.5mm).
I know that handle it is a vintage Gillette. I forget the name of the razor, the one I have is on an open comb head. It's like a tech variation. They are pretty common you run across them in ebay. They come in both silver and gold. It might be a "NEW"? I hope this helps .
Nothing here. http://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/The NEW/The NEW.htm http://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/Tech/Tech.htm
My interest in the handle was because it actually fits in between no. 4, the common bar, and no. 7, the slim common bar. See a comparison:
Probably from an English or German Gillette clone, but I have no evidence to back up that assumption.
It's very much like the handle on my Gibbs no16 (but not quite identical). Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
I fixed my typo. The Common Bar is 11.5mm and the Slim is 9,5mm, with the unknown handle fitting right in between at 10.5mm. I guess I have more homework to do.
