I've had similar experiences where I have decided to "slum it" and ended up with surprising results! One of the classics for me is Williams. If I use it all the time I don't get as good of shaves, but every once in a while and I get a surprisingly close shave. Funny how that works, huh :)

Those Bic Disposables aren't half bad. They're a pretty close copy of a Schick injector so if you like the Bics, try an injector.

Yeah, Bic Sensitives tear me up too. Bic single blades were my first cart when I learned to shave. They've never gotten any better for me. Glad they work for you.

I used them years ago before I got my Merkur's , they are what sparked my intrest in shaving like my grandpa. I just knew there was a better way of life. They're ok if they are used right . A far cry from the use of an electric.

I get GREAT results from the Bic Sensitive and Barbasol combo too! I think that's because using a DE vastly improved my technique! Aces!

Ah those baby's are cheap lol. I liked those single blades that had a button that cleaned the hair out as you shaved. They were nice

I've never had good luck with any brand of disposable. They were always worse than a cart for me. Although "MUCH" better than a cart or disposable, even injectors are a little rough on my face. Since I've discovered "traditional" shaving and DE/SE razors(around 3 years now) I've never thought of using a cart or disposable of any kind. :)
